Hmm. Slightly controversial watch that you don’t see too often - some heated debate on the forum years ago about one of these. Previous posts suggested that the bezel design was incorrect and the pushers were wrong, but they match this example so probably fine. It looks really mint and please wait for others to offer their views, but the only thing that looks wrong to me if the logo etc is not white - which you would expect in a steel case. Maybe the dial is from a gold plated watch. These always seem in very good condition but I’m not sure why that would be as Navitimers don’t age particularly well.

highly controversial indeed, especially as the production ledgers do not show these were ever manufactured...

the “fat lugs” case is quite similar to Wajs’ “Aviation” cases, none of the 806-36 and 809-36 show up in the ledgers ;)

So is that a definitive no, or just no supporting info for them in your view?

we may still discover irrefutable evidence, for now, we don’t have that.
ledgers sometimes lack reference numbers and only show casemaker and caliber installed, but we have no “unknown” batches w/ R7736.

Personally I have never been drawn to these when I see them...I'd buy one of these for half the price.
