What would be a reasonable price to pay for this?

it has little value as it is - besides spares or oarts for an existing 785 project watch ?

A working Valjoux 72 movement will usually bring anywhere from $750-$1000 and the dial, if genuine, $250-$350. Good luck ever finding a case for it. There will be interest still because of those that need the parts.

I do recall having seen those cases before , might it just be an incorrect caseback to an original watch ?
everything else seems ok and if it had a 785 marked caseback it would be deemed correct ?

just that GP case puts me off , dont like GP cases

What is more desirable, rare, expensive, the Breitling Datora 799 with moon phase, or 785

799; much, much rarer, incomparably so.
