Hi fellas,

Has anyone managed to get their Ocean Racer Deployment brush finished to match with a titanium watch case?

I've just secured myself an Avenger Seawolf Titanium and i've already got a 24mm Ocean Racer strap and would like the deployment brushed finished to match.

Pics and details (if in the UK) of who did it.

Cheers fellas

Steve :lingsrock:

*edit* i know the Avenger Seawolf is 22mm - i've already got the 22mm straps for it here :poke:

Yes, someone on here did manage to brush their OR deployant and it looked pretty good. In fact, I think when they sent it to Breitling for a service, Breitling actually redid the brushing for them professionally, so it looked spot on. It's not a bad match for ti once it's brushed either.

Cheers Driver8

I seem to remember it being done but for the life of me couldn't remember who did it.

I might see if Andrew Michaels can get it done for me - "heloo Sam, it's me again! !"

It's to go on this

I know someone a long time ago posted pics of it, and it looked just great. When I had my Seawolf, my AD offered to do it for me, no charge, I think it is pretty simple. Only thing is, that once it's done I don't think they can really polish it again to bring back the shine, but likely that's not an issue. I would just go ahead and get it done.
I love the Seawolf Ti. One I missed out on for sure. I remember drooling over it for years, when I still have my 1997 Super Ocean.
Cheers,
Carl

Hi Guys
I just asked my A.D to get the deployment in a brushed finish when I bought the oceanracer strap and they didn't have any issues. I think its standard.
The brushed finish that Breitling did on my Skyracer was a custom set up though.

Hope that helps and also solves the mystery of the guy with the brushed deployment.lol

Aaah right.

Thanks for the info guys.

After some more research it looks like getting the deployment bead blasted gives a more "titanium" effect on the finish rather than brushed so im going that way seeing as i've already got the OR in a polished finish.

Hi all - new to the forum and the joys of Breitling ownership after many years of peering into AD shop windows. Firstly, can I say what a great forum - so many knowledgable and generous contributors willing to share the benefits of their experience.

Was recently tempted by a pre-owned 2004 Avenger M1 in titanium in a local jeweller's window but it was missing the original warranty certificate although it had the box/manual and proper service records from BUK. Being a huge fan of titanium watches, it got me thinking about possibly getting a new one instead.

Although Breitling have discontinued most of the models I've been interested in, my local AD in Horsham was kind enough to speak to BUK who still had two late Avenger Seawolf models in titanium. I wanted the model with the blue dial but the two they had were in grey. They kindly sent it down to Horsham for me to look at the following day.

It looks fantastic with the grey face - slightly understated but still very classy. After a bit of haggling and suggesting to the AD that I might still be considering the 2nd hand M1 up the road, they knocked enough off the list price to make it a no brainer. The attraction of a brand new watch with a full 2 year Breitling warranty won out in the end.

Absolutley over the moon with the watch! It's a 2008 model so although the lubicants are two years into their life, I can easlily live with the fact that it may need a service slightly ahead of schedule relative to the purchase date.

Back vaguely onto the topic in this thread though - BUK still have another titanium Seawolf available if Carl or anyone else is interested!
