There's a dude unleashing about 13-14 vintage Breitlings in his collection all at once on ebay right now...

maybe he got bored  or came up on some hard times... :(

A lot of his pieces are really decent~ including a 765 AVI... a 42' C-mat, Canadian one pusher, a few c-matics...

maybe a good time to pick one up cheap~

The collection has been for sale on TZ for about three weeks. The really interesting pieces have gone already. The remainder he's selling on ebay now. Still some rare pieces though and I like the Italian prototype chrono the best. I understand he's selling the collection for a down payment on a new house. Life has it's priorites as we all know.

There are a couple of potential deals on there, a few pieces on watch, but not any 'oh gosh, I have to have that' pieces. Not absoultely convinced on the 42 Chronomat.

warning

A lot of this watches are faked.

Look the Datora 782/785 or so, its a full fake

look the Co-Pilot 765 its from 1953, never original with the old "Breitling" on the dial.

look the Cosmonaute, it was never mae with this serial number,

etc., etc. , etc,

Some interesting prices in the end.

$1,200 for the Canadian one button, $3,300 for the AVI, $1,300 for the Chronomat - all speak volumes.

Surprisingly the PW made over $400 though.

Yea tell me about it...

It was probably a whole bunch of "decent" stuff versus the usual fakes from S.America coming all from the same seller so some people maybe might have gotten a bit out of control with the bidding... (I'll bid on this one, I'll bid on that one~!!) he probably made a good 10k gross from selling all of his pieces...

I'm no expert, just curious as to why a 1953 AVI would have a 7 digit serial #
