I have a Colt Automatic II that I bought 11/19/2009, I did not know at the time this watch needed to be serviced so much, it has been loosing time for a while know and Sunday I wound it as usual and set the correct time, now it's Tuesday and it has lost an hour.

My question is: do I take it to the AD I got it from to send back or should I do it myself?
I live in Florida, so if I send it where do I send it to (address) and do anyone have the phone number also?

I wish now I had got a Quartz.
Thanks for any help.

Phil......

A service every 4 or 5 years doesn't seem too excessive to me, and it's positively infrequent compared to a car, which is also a mechanical thing..... but everyone's perceptions are different I guess.

Ultimately it's up to you if you want to take it to an AD or send it direct to Breitling. I've heard of some ADs charging a nominal amount to send it, whereas if you send it yourself it'll just cost you the postage. Plus if you send it yourself, then you know how it's been packed etc. On the flip side, if something goes wrong (eg damage) when the AD sends it then its their problem. Personally I always go direct to BUK but that's just me.

In terms of a number to call then BUSA's will be on the Breitling website under authorised repair centres.

And it should be noted that aside from battery changes, quartz watches, especially analogue quartz watches, also need servicing on the same frequency as mechanicals.

Thanks for the reply's, I guess for the price I didn't think they had to be serviced that often and as you both said, 4-5 years is not that bad.

Thanks,
Phil.......
