A friend just bought one from blingkingny, listed as store on Ebay. I have only seen the pictures of her finished watch, but it was lovely and she was very pleased with the workmanship.
If you do this, please post results for myself and others considering this purchase.

Personally I would prefer BreitlingĀ“s own diamond bezels for the SA. If I understood it correct they are very expensive (anyone who knows the price???) compared to the aftermarket bezels. But they are very nice, just a little too much BLINGPIMPBLING for me... but maybe I will change my mind as so many other have done here.

When doing a search on Ebay I found some nice looking ones for ~900 USD, but I would not buy one without seeing it for real first...

(Also, I am not sure that I really want to put diamonds on my SA, I still havent found a bezel that is discreet and classy enough and doesnt scream BLINGBLINGBLINGPIMPBLING)

I second that one, hnb!

I agree that orginal equipment Breitling diamonds are the best way to go if you really, REALLY want rocks on your watch, but personally I'm not a fan of diamonds on Breitlings.

I have both,

I have a genuine Breitling Diamond bezel for my Bentley and an after market one for my SA. The after market one is just as good as the Breitling one.

Was the aftermarket one from "abreitlingday"?
Been looking at them on the bay, but I want more closeups before even considering buying online... and of course I need more persuasion to bling my forthcoming SA ;)

hnb,

No it was from the lovemybling guy and it's great. Look at the link below of a diamond SA for sale and that is EXACTLY what mine looks like.

OK, so it is kind of like this one?

Also, since you own one - is it real Breitling bezels that they fit with diamonds or are they aftermarket bezels? I have seen some custom-fitters saying they use real bezels...?

(Hmmm, the more I discuss this the more I feel the urge to buy diamonds, crazy...)

hnb,

No that one has the diamonds around the outside of the bezel. Mine is exactly like the one in the picture I told you to click on. It has 80 very small diamonds and the bezel is exactly like the original SA bezel. It turns very smoothly and makes the clicking sound when you turn it and everything. The rider tabs are there and the little LUME dot up at 12:00 O Clock with the little crystal over it.

Keep in mind that the factory bezel has VVS D color diamonds (thank Ron for that info). Those are very high quality, expensive diamonds, compared to the relatively average stones (SI G or H color) in the aftermarket bezels. And even though they state VS2/SI1, I bet you get mostly SI1. I purchased some loose SI round cut stones a couple of years back, and I think I paid about $300/ct. for 1.5 pointers.
