I saw this watch on a guy on the street the other day, I looked through most of the models listed on this site and could not find it.

It looked like a Bentley, had the date at 12:00 and had exposed movement around the 6pm mark, however it was not the Mulliners Tourbillion.

Any ideas? Perhaps it was a fake?

A well known fake.

Thats a shame, good looking watch. What are some other options for a watch with a semi exposed front movement?

Depends on the price range - Oris skeleton for $2,000 and Zenith Opens for $5,000 plus would be my choices short of the big buck watches.

This Baume & Mercier, Classima Executives line, is one of my very favourite dress watches of all time:
http://www.baume-and-mercier.com/collec ... llection=4
It runs around $2700. A very simple dial, not even a calendar, with the exhibition opening below 12 o'clock. The B & M symbol is at 12 o'clock.
Beautiful alligator strap with deployant clasp.
If you click on "Contemporary" you get more info about that model, and you can even see a 360. It also has a small exhibition window on the back, so you can actually see right through the watch to the front.
The entire Baume & Mercier line, to my mind is one of incredible quality and value. If I could afford more of a collection, this watch would definitely be in it! Also notice the blue hands, a special treatment to the metal.
Cheers,
Carl

the basic heartbeat is around £600 prior to discount in a high street jeweller here in uk.....quality seems pretty good also.
