A local guy has what he calls a Breitling Colt Chronograph Pilot/Sport for sale. He is asking $1800.00 for it. Has the box, papers, and even the breitling ball cap they sent him. I am not familar with this model. He has sent me a couple of pics, but they are at a distance and cannot tell much about the watch. I can see it is black face, has three subdials, 10, 2, & 6. Date window is at 5 oclock. I will try to post pics later. Any ideas if this is a good price or not? He is local and I will be looking at the watch if you learned gents tell me its a good price.
Thanks

Not aware of a Colt with that name, although the dial layout could be a number of Chrono Colts.

Price isn't great - you can get a new one for around $2,200.

Best bet is to get the model number & check it out in the section with the information.

http://www.breitlingsource.com/models/aeromarine.html

Maybe the "Pilot" bit is in ref to the bracelet!

Also is it Quartz or Automatic?

These should help to narrow down your info hunt.

2, 6 and 10 sub-dials so quartz.

No such model as the Pilot or Sport.

Only version is the Transocean with the 10 minute countdown marks.

Doesn't strike me as a bargain.
