The Galactic range could be a winner in the eyes of non Breitling officianados like us! I can see the Galactic 41 Galactic Chrono Galactic 30 and Galactic 32 all being winners sales wise.

My problem with the line is this:

The BO1 with its special inhouse movement and new bezel comes on line and the company sells it as such... then they produce a line like the galactic where the Bezel is the same as the BO1 but the mechanism isnt (from what I can see)!

Are they confusing the modelling, the public, where do all these models fit in the Breitling line?

Will Breitling put the new BO1 mechanism into the other watch lines?

hmmmm have to say im not inspired

galatic range (stupid f*****g name) is a good idea but breitling why oh why have you put a B01 bezel on them, this year you should be changiing the B01 bezel not adding it to more watches.

look we told you the starbust airwolf dial was shit, you chnaged it and its now a winner.

why are you ignoring us!!!

chronospace ...... eh really why? its ok but i dont really get the point??

stop the blacksteels, the best release on that page is sadly the BB BS and the single reason for that is the blackbird is awesome as it was given youve just dunked it in DLC and shoved a rubber strap on a near £6k watch and it can still look good is testiment to the BB design and not the recent job lot dunking of volume discounted DLC syrup you seem to have over purchased.

seriously you could have done 2 things this year and we'd have been happy

1. fix the B01 so it doesnt look shit

2. put an in house movement in something already decent like the BB or Navi world

well that would have made me happy!!

on the plus side the release of new models will certainly save me some breitling cash as they are pants i can buy some of the old ones and maybe some discontiued bits shand

to the new lings i say:

:guns: :lingsrock:

The new 2010 model range is a Galactic failure IMHO. Nothing I'd want, nothing I'd even wanna look at. I'm so very disappointed

However, now is the perfect time to head to the AD and pick up an existing cool Breitling model before they stop lasting. The ADs here are full of unsold Cockpits and SuperOceans.....

The bezel isnt the problem, all they needed to do was to start putting the BO1 mechanism into a couple of other watches like the SA for example. This new range will probably sell and bring new people into Breitling but they shouldnt be sticking the Bezel onto watches that dont have the inhouse movement.

I don't understand the widespread dislike of the B01 bezel, I was set to buy an EVO until I saw the B01...I like it a lot, to each their own.....

but you B01 bezel haters are probably the same guys that would recommend that I use a modern solid state modeling amp on stage instead of my ugly ole vacuum tube amps :poke:

Has Breitling removed the details of these new models? When I use the links on the earlier post in this thread I get the Breitling front page, and no links to any 2010 models at all. :huh

What a disappointment.

The B01 bezel was always going to be given a chance, and it is designed to widen the appeal, but to expand it this dramatically is bizarre. I cannot begin to fathom the reason why a range would be called Galactic- do market research of how much you would spend on a watch called Galactic and I'm betting that the average would be under $100. The watches in that range are essentially the same thing in different sizes or with a chrono bolted on, where's the innovation there?

The Cosmonaute and Legende LEs aren't bad, although I'm not sure how they move things forward. I had consistently hearing for the last couple of weeks that there would be no new B01 driven model, and I think that we can all agree that's a mistake.

I am even more confused about the direction that Breitling is going in, it's bitterly disappointing to me. Clearly we are not the voice of the brand as the people that come here are WIS and that's not the main market, but to completely ignore the enthusiast voice is naive in my view.

I would dearly love an opportunity to work with Breitling for a little while to present some alternate views, but the likelihood of that happening is about as remote as the likelihood of them producing a decent watch any more.

There's a tab for 2010 models under the models section - try that.

What else is there to be said?

Highly disappointing releases....

The Galactic is so poorly named! I actually like the dial on the Galactic. Look like a cross between the new and old Cockpit. But that bezel! :? SO bad.

Well, as a Philadelphia Eagles fan I've become accustomed to saying this: "There's always next year."

Same thing happened to me when I tried loading the website using google chrome. I opened it with safari and sure enough I found it under the 'Models' tab. Weird.
