Just received details of 2 new Breitling limited edition pieces to come out later in the year - the Avenger Seawolf Chrono Blacksteel.

Blacksteel models have been seen in the Blackbird and Avenger before, but here are 2 new lines - one with orange features and the other with yellow.

Limited edition of 1,000 pieces in each colour.

Any thoughts on these?

No. I'm told they only issuing these dials in these limited edition versions.

Great looking watches, especially the yellow. Avenger Code Yellow limited edition looks good

It'd be so cool if they made these with a black leather strap with yellow or orange matching stitching.

I hate to be the first nay-sayer, but those could have been easily photoshopped. I can make you any color in 30 seconds.

I hate to say you are wrong, but you are. I thought genuine Breitling enthusiasts would be interested in a new limited edition watch. As I work in an authorised Breitling stockist, I had these images given to me when I placed the order with Breitling.

Speak to your local stockist, they will confirm they are new lines. Then come back to me, I'll accept your apology in advance.

Photoshop? I may be a newbie to this site RJRJRJ, but wouldn't ruin it for everyone.

Hey, im not saying thay are fake, just that with only a couple of generic pics that are identical to each other except for a color replacement, its a little premature for me to believe it.

Didnt mean to make you feel unwelcome.

As stated in a prior post by my favorite buddy, Breitling would NEVER use yellow stitching in their straps. That would be a major no-no I guess. I personally think it would look outstanding. Maybe they don't sell yellow thread in Switzerland?

Thanks for the 'heads-up' on these editions. I like the present red limited ed. and the new yellow looks pretty good. These show more color added to the compass numbers around the outside of the dial.
If I could wear this model on my size wrists it would definitely be one of my favorite SQ's.

When we first see details of a new watch to be launched (apart from at Basel) it is usually in a pdf format simply showing the watch. Advertising style images are only usually supplied later (as this GMT Blacksteel image), closer to delivery time.

There is also a new steel limited edition Blackbird coming out, and a limited edition version of the Navitimer which will have the B01 movement in. It will have a sapphire crystal caseback.

Interesting to see what the Blackbird is about (not that it isn't expensive enough already :( )
Oh yeah, welcome to BS.com (just noticed your join date) and thanks in advance for all the new info.!

Let me be the first to say, that if this news is correct, you may have broken the story that warms the hearts of many people here.

Welcome to BreitlingSource!

This news is really something. Placing the B01 movement in another case is loooong overdue. It definitely makes sense to show off some of that hard work with a DB.

Why the need for 'limited editions'? Is this just a creative marketing campaign by Breitling to charge extra for these pieces? 1,000 is hardly limited in my opinion, the premium isn't worth it to me BUT I do like the Avenger Code Yellow and I own an LE SOHC but I bought it used and didn't have to pay the premium for it. I'm not sure I like the LE concept but the LE's that I've seen thus far are pretty eye catching.

Thanks for sharing the upcoming releases.

The Blackbird Limited Edition has red accents on the dial, I will get a picture uploaded onto the site (and I know what you mean about the price of the Blackbird).
The Chronomat will begin to be phased out in 2011 and the Breitling B01 will have a name change to Chronomat 01.

Lots of name changes within Windrider family - Cockpit Lady becomes Galactic 32 and the introduction of a much needed ladies automatic watch with the Galactic 36 Automatic (see attached image)
